Brrrrrrrr. Only 4 when we started our road trip today. It rained on and off all night and when it was not raining we could hear the Falls. On our morning drive we had rain, saw lots of rocks and trees, tons of trucks hauling fishing boats (last place I would want to be is in a fishing boat in the rain and only 4 degrees - must be a guy thing), the huge statue of a Moose in Dryden, a random call from one of the kids on Jeff's cell, the giant fish statue and building murals in Kenora and lunch by a lake in Kenora and watched planes taxi down the lake. When we crossed into Manitoba it did not take long for the landscape to change - back to farm land and long, straight roads. Headed north to Grand Beach Provincial Park on the shore of Lake Winnipeg. We had a walk on their beautiful sandy beach (dressed in turtle necks, sweaters and long pants) and watched 5 kite surfers do their thing. To end the day the sun came out, we have a private campground, a steak barbecue and Bernie watching the hockey game on the computer. Sign of the day - Hockey Haven Road (in Kenora)
