June 12th, Wednesday

This is how our day started leaving Dawson Creek and heading to Jasper, AB. Cloudy, rainy, foggy, 7 degrees - no sun since last Wednesday :-). On the way through the foothills we were at 1536 meters at times. At least it was a beautiful green, lots of rivers which are very high, green bogs, lumber trucks, oil wells, "sharp shoulders" (there were no shoulders), managed woodlands, deer. 10 minutes out of Jasper the sun came out and there were the mountains !!!
We took the Jasper Tramway up the mountain to a spectacular view of Jasper, the Athabasca River, the mountains and lakes. Beautiful sight ! We walked the town of Jasper and it has a lot of interesting little spots. Even met a clerk from the East end of PEI. As we were having supper in the motorhome 4 elk came wandering by , munched on some grass and left. It was quite a sight.
