May 17th, 2025 Stockholm , Sweden

Arrival in Stockholm to a cool, gray day. This afternoon after the drizzle had stopped we took a walking tour of the old part of Stockholm. It was the only tour guide of the ships arranged tours who was not up to par. Very strong accent and talked very fast and it was a cold windy day. We saw a lot of palaces and government houses. Back to the ship to pack our suitcases and have our last get together in the Explorers Lounge . A Norwegian dinner was provided in the World Cafe and it was a delicious spread - lobster, crab legs, steak, stews, fish, veggies, etc, etc. Said farewell to our servers and stateroom crew we met, suitcases outside our door and off to bed

Fun park - not on our agenda lol

May 16th, 2025 Tallinn, Estonia

We woke to a cool, cloudy day after a bit of a rocky night on the sea. All is calm now. This morning we had a 3hr walking tour of the old town of Tallinn which is one of the oldest medieval town in Northern Europe. It is a walled city, cobblestone streets, interesting architecture and we had a great tour guide. She had lots of history stories and even told me I looked like one of the famous Estonia actresses lol. We has a spa afternoon before drinks in the Explorers Lounge and dinner at the restaurant. Ended off the evening with an ABBA tribute show in the theatre

May 14th, Wednesday, Gdansk, Poland

Another start to a beautiful day in Poland. Bernie, Elspeth and Jenn hopped the bus and went for a tour of the Elblag Canal by barge. Very interesting as we travelled through the canals and then onto rails over the grassy land and back into the canals. From the 1st canal to the 5th canal over a total of several kilometres the barges were raised 100 meters. Off to a polish lunch of perogies in a 17th century grainary . Beautiful building. Our funny Irish/ Polish guide named Michael took us on a walking tour of Gdansk among all the old streets, the Royal Street, St Mary's Basilica, walk along canals and of course got caught in a major downpour (1st of the trip lol ).The other 2, Ron and Kevin went to a tour of a concentration camp.  After drying out and having a warm drink we tried the Chef's Table which was a 5 course Korean food and wine tasting. Very interesting. Had our own private concert with Ilona and Szabolcs on violin and cello.
