Another start to a beautiful day in Poland. Bernie, Elspeth and Jenn hopped the bus and went for a tour of the Elblag Canal by barge. Very interesting as we travelled through the canals and then onto rails over the grassy land and back into the canals. From the 1st canal to the 5th canal over a total of several kilometres the barges were raised 100 meters. Off to a polish lunch of perogies in a 17th century grainary . Beautiful building. Our funny Irish/ Polish guide named Michael took us on a walking tour of Gdansk among all the old streets, the Royal Street, St Mary's Basilica, walk along canals and of course got caught in a major downpour (1st of the trip lol ).The other 2, Ron and Kevin went to a tour of a concentration camp. After drying out and having a warm drink we tried the Chef's Table which was a 5 course Korean food and wine tasting. Very interesting. Had our own private concert with Ilona and Szabolcs on violin and cello.Elblag Cana
