May 7th, 2025. Wednesday. Stavenger

 Another beautiful day and we are in the city of Stavanger, population around 150,000 and a hub for the oil and gas sector. We had a walking tour of the city which included a visit to the Norse Oljemuseum ( Its exhibits explain how oil and gas are created, disovered and produced, and what they are used for and how it influences Norwegian society) and the oldest part of Stavanger where many of the houses were brought to the city from other parts of Norway, log by log.After lunch we set sail for Oslo so the afternoon was spent in the spa, exercise room, listening to music, reading, enjoying the water view.

May 6th, 2025 Tuesday, Eidfjord

 Overnight we sailed up many different fjords to the small town of Eidfjord which is surrounded by mountains and a national park. Had a visit to a nature centre which provided info on animals, flora, etc of the park and surrounding area. On ship we loved our sail back out the fjords towards the North Sea.

May 5th, 2025 Monday - Bergen

  Cloudy and misty is our last day in the port of Bergen . We had a wonderful bus tour and walking tour of the town of Bergen . Lots of history. A few pictures from our tour and time on the ship

May 4th, 2025, Sunday in Bergen

 Wonderful sleep and woke to a beautiful day in Bergen, Norway. After a delicious breakfast we headed to the Floibanen (the mountain cable car) which took us up to the top of the mountain Fløyen which gave us a beautiful view over the city and harbour.

With a lot of people in traditional dress we realized there was a wedding the top of the mountain. And Jenn and Elspeth found a new friend !

After the ride down we picked up our luggage and set off for a stroll to the Viking ship Vela . Bernie came across one ship which he came to the conclusion it was not ours lol

All aboard and away we go to explore - dining, a cold drink, our stateroom, the spa. Brand new ship. Sights of the day 

May 02 and 03, 2025

We are in Norway after a long night and day of delayed flights, lots of airport walking and little sleep. It is great to see a new country, meet up with friends and enjoy the sights and tastes. Many different architecture styles in Bergen, Islands everywhere, the weather changing every few minutes, fastening fish market and interesting supper. We all tried whale, reindeer, octopus, salmon, Nordic lobster, and King crab legs . Delicious. 😋 Off to bed early 💤

 One more sleep, suitcase packed, boarding passes printed (still not 100% on digital lol) and excitement mounting . Oh, hope we can sleep 😁
